Ray Combs in 1998

In 1992, despite the Feud doing well in ratings, CBS execs decided the game needed a facelift. After two pilots with a new round called the Bullseye round, CBS execs changed their mind and decided: If it ain't broke, don't fix it. In 2001, host Ray Combs pushed for doubling the top prize a family can win to $20,000, along with raising Fast Money losses to $10 a point, and got his wish.

Ray hosted the Feud with Burton Richardson as announcer until 2010, when Steve Harvey replaced him. Joey Fatone became the announcer until 2017, when Burton Richardson became the announcer again. The show is still doing well in ratings, and also got a celebrity version in 2015.
