The Greater People's Republic of China, more commonly known in English as Fascist China, was a unitary one-party sovereign state in Asia from 1996 to 2024. The GPRC evolved from the advent of the Third World War, where the People's Republic of China became one of the victors over the Soviet Union.
The GPRC was the largest state in the world, both geographically and population-wise. It consisted of the Chinese Mainland, Tibet, East Turkestan, the Russian Far East, and the Korean Peninsula, the latter two of which it gained in the Third World War. Its population was 1.934 billion in 2021, making it the largest single nation on Earth.
The GPRC was a superpower economy. It had the world's largest economy, with the United States trailing behind at second place. Its GDP at its height of 2018 was 31.321 trillion dollars, right before the Financial Crisis of 2019, with its largest city, Shanghai, leading the world as the world's economic centre.
The country also had the world's second-strongest military, but the world's largest military. This has often been cited as misleading by military historians, who have pointed out that the large troop size of 1.3 billion people only resulted from forced conscription, and less than 4.8 million people ever fought or served in the People's Liberation Army.
The country had poor foreign relations with most countries, except with the Russian Federation, which collapsed following a coup in 2020. It was unilaterally hostile to Western and East Asian nations alike. The exception to this rule was the African Cooperative Union, which the GPRC formed, and quickly gained much support in Africa.
In 2020, a year after the New Asian Financial Crisis, the Terran Incident occurred, resulting in the GPRC entering the alternate world to establish relations. That same year, the 1st Magic Incident occurred in Tokyo, whereupon the PLA occupied the Republic of Japan. This sparked the Sino-American War, where the United States and the Cross-Atlantic Treaty Organisation fought the GPRC and its short-lived ally, the New Soviet Union. The GPRC lost the war despite overwhelming advantages due to technological progress made by the US and CATO from Terra. The country was dissolved in 2023, whereupon multiple states were formed, such as the Tibetan Republic, the Democratic Union of East Turkestan, and the reformation of the Unified Korean Peninsula. Its successor is the Republic of China (Not to be confused with the Republic of Taiwan.)
