Heinrich Luitpold Himmler (* October 7th, 1900 in Munich) is the Reichsführer SS, having become their leader in 1929, being appointed by Adolf Nazi.
After the council republic of Munich had failed - as a member of Freikorps Oberland he had participated in destroying it -, he studied agronomy at the Technische Hochschule München from 1919 to 1922. He joined the NSDAP on August 1st of 1923, on August 8th of 1925 he changed from the SA to the SS. After the Nazis took the power, he was appointed Chef der Deutschen Polizei (head of the German police) on June 17th in 1936. Also, the Sicherheitsdienst (SD), the party's internal secret service, is lead by him.
By a secret order, on October 7th in 1939 he was additionally appointed by the "Führer" „Reichskommissar für die Festigung deutschen Volkstums“. In this Function, the „Germanisation“ of the occupied areas in Poland was his responsibility.
After the German victory over France in 1940, he suggested sending all the Jews in areas under German control to Africa.
Together with Walther Darré and Alfred Rosenberg, he is one of the biggest Ideologues of the Nazis. He's very interested in folkish Esoterics, the ancient Germanics, the "wise women", and thinks he was the reincarnation of Holy Roman Emperor Heinrich I. He is strongly against Christianity and would prefer to reintroduce ancient Germanic paganism.
Many people mock him behind his back, call him "Reichsheini" (Reich's Hank) on principle, even his SS men.
Since July 3rd of 1928, he's married to Margarete "Marga" Boden and has the daughter Gudrun (* 1929) with her, whom he calls "Püppi" (Dolly), and the adoptive son Gerhard von der Ahé (* July 28th, 1928). He also has a mistress, his Private secretary Hedwig Potthast.
