The Concept

As the new century ticks in, the West continues to face the ending of it's wild ways. But what if, in an alternate timeline, the West does not cave to the pressures of civilization? What if the west remains, at least in a more modern form, more wild?


  • October 5th, 1892 the Dalton Gang win the shootout, with only Bob Dalton being injured, but not fatally so, by a single bullet wound. Multiple people claimed for years that they got the shot on Bob, nobody is confirmed. the Dalton Gang continues robbing around Kansas and western Missouri well into the 1910's before retiring from the robbing way of life.
  • Battle of Stone Corral 1893

    The posse with subdued dummies.

    June 11th/12th, 1893 Following a ten-month manhunt, local train robbers John Sontag and Chris Evans are wounded during a shootout with a posse of lawmen on a ranch north of Visalia, California. Both outlaws evade captured by using dummies, but Sontag dies of his wounds three weeks later. Chris Evans is suspected of many more train heists, but eventually is thought to have retired in the early 1900's.
