Wehrmacht is the term for the whole armed forces of Nazi Germany, divided into Heer, Kriegsmarine, and Luftwaffe. It was created on March 16th of 1935 from the Reichswehr. The country has the draft, since 1936 two years. At the End of 1939, the Wehrmacht had drafted 4.7 Million Men, and in 1940 the growth has barely been dented.
Like many institutions in Nazi Germany, it has a hated competitor: The Waffen-SS.
Since the Beginning of World War II, this is the highest leadership of the Wehrmacht: Supreme commander Adolf Nazi, Head of the OKW Wilhelm Keitel, chief of staff of the Wehrmacht Alfred Jodl, Head of the OKL Hermann Göring, Head of the OKH Walther von Brauchitsch, Head of the OKK Erich Raeder, chief of staff of the Heer Franz Halder.
